Line Following Mission Worksheet
Use this sheet to record your readings and tune your gain. No perfect numbers needed — measure, tune, and try again. Curiosity wins.

1) Calibrate the Readings
Hold the sensor over each surface and read line_sensor.reflection().
- Reflection over the black tape (BLACK):
- Reflection over the white floor (WHITE):
- Threshold = (BLACK + WHITE) ÷ 2 =
Remember: the robot follows the edge of the line — half on black, half on white.
2) First Follow
- I ran the starter. What did the robot do?
- Did it follow the line, drift off, or wobble?
- Which way did it need to start (left/right of the line)?
3) Tune the GAIN
Change only GAIN, run, and watch. Record what happens.
