OUR STUDENTS’ LEARNING JOURNEY

From January through April, our students met each Thursday evening to grow their skills in technology, creativity, and project development.

What you see today is the result of months of coding, debugging, perseverance, and bold creative thinking.

ASK THE STUDENTS

Spark conversation. Inspire innovation.

Use these questions to dive deeper, challenge ideas, and celebrate our young innovators!

START WITH PURPOSE

Dig Into Their Purpose

  • Why did you choose your project idea to create?
  • During the “Draw It First” phase, was this the original idea you had, or did it evolve into something different?
  • If you changed your idea, why did it change?
  • What is your favorite part of your project that you created?
  • How does your project make life more fun or easier for the person using it?
  • What problem were you most excited to solve, and why?
  • What was a moment when your idea didn’t work—and what did you learn from that?
  • If you had to start over, what would you do differently and why?
  • What trade-offs did you have to make in your design?

DESIGN FOR REAL PEOPLE

Understand Their Impact

  • Is there a specific moment or feeling you want people to walk away with after they try your demo?
  • What kind of feedback challenged your thinking the most?
  • What market research did you do to help put together your project?
  • How did you differentiate your project from other existing games or apps?
  • Who do you think would benefit most from your project and why?
  • What surprised you most while talking to others about your idea?

SOLVE, TEST, MAKE BETTER

Explore Their Process

  • What was the biggest “bug” you ran into during your process, and how did you fix it?
  • If you had one more week to “refine and debug,” what is the first thing you would change about the technical side of this project?
  • How did you test or track progress?
  • If this project went viral tomorrow, what’s one feature you’d add to make it even better for a huge audience?
  • What part of the process are you most proud of and why?

THINK AHEAD, DREAM BIG

Imagine What’s Next

  • What would you change if you had one more week?
  • What would version 2.0 of your project look like?
  • If you had to turn this into a business, what would you sell?
  • Where could this idea go in the next year?
  • What’s one thing you want to learn next to level up?
