First meeting for Team 3

Welcome to the first meeting of Team 3! Today we kicked off the season and got to know each other. In attendance we had Lilly, Tucker, Cadence, Louie, and Xavier. Lilly and Tucker are joining us for their first season, while Cadence, Louie, and Xavier are returning members. Tonight’s focus was on robot design. We started by identifying different features of a robot’s design that we wanted to ficus on. Here are the features we identified:
- Tire: What style, size, etc. of tire do we want to use?
- Wheelbase: How far apart do we want the wheels to be?
- Height/Center of Gravity: How tall do we want the robot to be, and how does that affect its stability?
- Length: How long do we want the robot to be, and how does that affect its maneuverability?
- Attachment “swappability”: How easily can we swap out attachments on the robot?
we took pictures of a test run, and the robot did not end up where we expected, but it was very consistent.
